2016 IAC: Vancouver, Canada

Vancouver Aquarium in Vancouver, Canada will host the 2016 International Aquarium Congress.

Below is the letter of congratulations sent to Vancouver Aquarium CEO John Nightingale from IAC Steering Committee Chairperson Dr Patrick Garratt.

Dear John

On behalf of the International Aquarium Congress steering committee, I thank you for your submission to host the congress in 2016 and take great delight to inform you that your bid was successful.

This was a unanimous decision – congratulations!

We look forward in keen anticipation to a spectacular congress in Vancouver in 2016. The committee also congratulates you on your bid document. It is highly professional and will set a very high benchmark for future International Aquarium Congresses.

Personally, I look forward to handing over the reins to you in Cape Town in September 2012. Here you can read more about the Cape Town International Convention Centre.

But, if you are not experienced you should start with small community aquarium, because it will be easier to manage.
