From 9 to 11 September, the registration desk will be located in the registration foyer on the ground floor of the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC).

Field trip: Whale watching or shark cage diving

Date: 14 September 2012 (Friday)

Time: 07h30 – 17h00

A not to be missed field outing to Gansbaai, a South African hotspot for up close and personal encounters with great white sharks, whales, dolphins, seals and penguins. 

Choose between boat-based whale watching and shark cage diving.

Please note: The cost of the field trip is not included in your registration fee. 

Dyer Island Cruises boat-based whale watching 

Operating around the world-famous Dyer Island, our two-and-a-half-hour trip will introduce you to the “Marine Big 5” (whales, great white sharks, dolphins, seals and penguins). An on-board marine biologist will to teach you more about the amazing animals that visit our shores.

Marine Dynamics shark cage diving 

Operating in Gansbaai, Western Cape, a world hotspot for the great white shark, you will experience an incredible adventure on board Marine Dynamics’ custom-designed boat. An on board marine biologist will educate you as you get up close and personal with this amazing apex predator.

Free evenings

There will be a few free evenings, which you can fill as you please. There are scores of fabulous restaurants and night-life venues to give you a real taste of Cape Town.
